Depression and Anxiety Treatment

DEPRESSION & ANXIETY TREATMENT FOR ADULTS IN ID, FL, & AL

You are so much more than anxiety or depression.

Does it feel like anxiety or depression are always running in the background of your life?

You’ve noticed snapping at your kids, feeling distracted at work, or just not feeling like yourself. Worries, irritability, or emptiness are affecting how you show up and experience your work, your hobbies, and even your family.

Maybe you’ve tried affirmations or exercise or a routine or even medication, and while they help some or for a while, it still feels like something’s off - like you should be able to relax and actually enjoy your life instead of feeling stuck on a hamster wheel trying to maintain some semblance of peace.

You know life shouldn’t be this hard, but aren’t even sure what “easier” would look like much less how to make it happen.

I get it, and I can help.

I can help you better understand what you’re feeling, and together, we can figure out a plan to help you feel like yourself again.

We’ll spend about an hour exploring exactly what’s going on now, what you’ve experienced in the past, and what your goals are for the future.  With that deeper understanding, we’ll discuss various options to help your anxiety or depression.  Those options may include labs, specific therapy, lifestyle changes, or medications.

By developing a plan with you, we can figure out what’s going to work best for you as a person, not just for a diagnosis.  I’ll be there every step of the way to make sure you feel comfortable with your treatment.

What we’ll work on:

  • Understanding your depression or anxiety

  • Developing a medication plan that helps you feel good

  • Optimizing your physical health to support your mental health

  • Establishing routines that help you function well

  • Creating a life and relationships you feel good about

FAQS

What others have wondered about treatment for anxiety & depression

  • It’s totally normal to feel anxious in response to stress, but when it begins to interfere with daily activities and quality of life it may be time to seek out help. Here are some signs that you may need additional support for your anxiety:

-Your anxiety is interfering with your daily activities and relationships with others. I often hear people describe struggling to focus on work or hobbies, being irritable with children or spouses, or no longer being able to enjoy things they usually love.

-Your anxiety is causing physical symptoms, such as headaches, stomachaches, or difficulty sleeping.

-You feel like your anxiety is out of your control and you are unable to manage it on your own. Maybe you’ve tried things like journaling, exercise, meditation, or supplements, and it still just doesn’t feel like enough.

-Your anxiety is causing you significant distress or impairing your ability to function.

-You are experiencing panic attacks or extreme feelings of fear or dread.

Often times just feeling like you have a partner in your corner can really make a huge difference!

  • Depression can present in so many different ways. I often hear people describe just not feeling like themselves - not enjoying the things they usually do or even just feeling kind of flat. That alone is enough to seek out help.

But definitely seek out help if:

-You feel sad or hopeless most of the time and have lost interest in activities that you used to enjoy.

-You experience changes in appetite or sleep patterns, such as eating and sleeping more or less than usual.

-You have difficulty concentrating, making decisions, or remembering things.

-You feel fatigued or lack energy, even when engaging in activities that you used to find enjoyable.

-You have thoughts of self-harm or suicide. If those thoughts are severely distressing or if you feel like you might hurt yourself or someone else, please go to the nearest ER or call 988 for immediate help.

You deserve to enjoy your life and there are so many different options that might help you do just that.

  • Of course! Anxiety & depression are usually the most bothersome symptoms of all mental health concerns including bipolar disorder, OCD, ADHD, and even PTSD. I love helping people better understand the underlying causes for their symptoms and helping them find a treatment plan that works for them.
