Graduated in 2004 from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas with a degree in Health Promotion. Courses psychology, kinesiology, and nutrition in addition to the traditional pre-medical courses allowed me to better understand health decision making on both the individual and the policy levels

In 2007, was awarded a Physician Assistant Studies degree at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho after completing a year of intense coursework and a year of clinical rotations at sites throughout Idaho.

Spent three years, developing supportive relationships while providing excellent medical care to patients in Waldorf, Maryland. Saw patients for yearly checkups, sick visits, complex medical concerns which deepened my medical knowledge.

Achieved recognition for my specialty experience, skills and knowledge in Psychiatry from the National Commission on Certification of PAs after completing 2 years of clinical psychiatry practice, passing a written examination and doing extensive continuing medical education courses.
