WHITE PINE MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS SERVING ALABAMA, FLORIDA, & IDAHO
Psychiatric care that's accessible, transparent, & worth every penny.
We know cost is a real consideration when choosing mental healthcare — and we think you deserve to know exactly what to expect before you ever book an appointment. No surprises, no confusion, no fine print.
Here’s how it works:
We Accept Insurance
We are in-network with the following plans:
Self-Pay Pricing
We believe in simple, transparent pricing. Here's what to expect:
-
Your first visit is 60 minutes and is truly about getting to know you. We'll explore your current symptoms, your history, and what's brought you here — and together we'll build a treatment plan that actually fits your life. No rushing, no checklists. Just a real conversation.
$290
-
A 30-minute check-in to see how you're doing, adjust your plan if needed, and make sure you're moving in the right direction.
$145
-
A 45-minute visit designed for those who want more depth — whether that's more detailed lifestyle planning, psychotherapy support, or working through a more complex history.
$215
-
For clinical work that happens between appointments — prior authorizations, letters or forms, calls with family members or other providers, or record transfers. Billed in 15-minute increments.
$75
Good care should be accessible.
Anyone considering our services is entitled to request a Good Faith Estimate — a detailed breakdown of expected costs before you commit to anything. Just ask and we'll provide one.
You can also review our full office policies here.
We believe in care that is
Personalized — because no two people arrive here the same way, and no two treatment plans should look identical.
Accessible — because cost and logistics shouldn't be the reason someone doesn't get help.
Transparent — because you deserve to know exactly what you're paying for and why.
Life-changing — because that's what good psychiatric care actually does when it's done right.
Common Questions about Investment

All of our providers are in network with private Aetna, United, and St. Luke's Health Plan. Jacob Vial, PA-C is also in network with most private Blue Cross plans.
If you have any other insurance plan with out-of-network benefits, we can give you a receipt for sessions (also known as a “superbill”) that you can submit for reimbursement, which might offset your personal investment in treatment. We are not in network with any Medicaid or Medicare plans.

-What are my out of network benefits for Psychiatric Care with a Physician Assistant?
-How are telemedicine visits covered?
-What are the allowable rates for psychiatric codes (we most commonly use the CPT codes 99205, 99214, 90832)?
-What percentage of my cost is covered after I meet my deductible?
-
If you are uninsured or have health care coverage but wish to self pay, you are entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate of your cost of care. You can get more information on a specialized Good Faith Estimate upon request.

Just like every other part of a personalized approach to psychiatry, visit frequency really depends on you and your needs. Most patients are seen bi-weekly or monthly for the first few months of care to ensure you are progressing well and not experiencing side effects. We may discuss more frequent visits if you prefer to be seen more regularly or during periods of time when you are struggling and need additional support.
Once you are doing well, we can customize frequency. Some folks prefer to continue with bi-weekly or monthly visits while others want to space visits every three months. To prioritize open communication and maintain ongoing care, at least one appointment must be scheduled every 6 months. -
We have a strict 48-hour cancellation policy. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please do so at least 48 hours in advance, or you will be charged the full visit fee. This is because we reserve your time slot and are typically unable to fill it with less than 48 hours notice.
Same day cancellation will be charged the full fee for your visit. If you have an emergency or extenuating circumstance and want to discuss the possibility of a refund, let me know.

While medications and additional testing such as labs and sleep studies are not included in the cost of care, it is certainly a very real consideration in your treatment plan. I will do my best not only to consider affordable options, but more importantly to discuss various treatment options and their respective costs as best as possible.
You deserve care that feels as good as it works.
